Marklettes is a browser extension that gives you quick access to text you save, links built from the text you select, a world clock, and an IP address lookup.
What Marklettes stores
The entries you create (names, saved text, link templates and time zones) are stored in your browser with the chrome.storage.local API. They are not sent to the developer or to anyone else, and they are deleted when you remove the extension.
What Marklettes reads
When you pick an entry, Marklettes reads the selected text on the current page (to build a link) or writes your saved text into the focused field. It only does this for the page you are on, at the moment you pick an entry. It does not read pages in the background.
Network requests
Marklettes makes network requests only when you click an entry that needs one:
- IP lookup requests
api.ipify.organdipwho.isto show your IP address and its approximate location. Like any website, these services receive your IP address with the request. Their own privacy policies cover how they handle it. - Links open the web address you set up, in a new tab, with the selected text, link or page address filled in.
Marklettes has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no server of its own. This website doesn't use cookies or analytics either.
Sharing
Marklettes does not sell, share or transfer your data.
